Flex: No problem mate, having a small shorter cruise means we can do it more often, rather than a massive one that only happens once or twice a year or if any at all, small cruise is much easier to organise. When you are good and ready just yell out here, I'm pretty sure you will get some sort of responses.
Zoomz: Don't get too pumped up just yet you may ended up having no where to relieve your excitement We are at the mercy of the weather, and it won't happen if we have less than 5 cars, 8 cars would be a good number, not too small not too big.
If it doesn't happen this week, then we postpone one week, fail again then week after, until it finally happens. How's that sounds? This way we have somthing to look forward to each week, until the weather and car number conditions are met.
I should be upfront about a few... well, *cough, cough* rules for those who concern and should apply to any future cruises, if anyone can think of anymore please add to the following:
(1) No hoon behaviors
(2) No traffic offences (burn outs etc)
(3) Must know your own limit, no dangerous maneuver (eg drifting, power sliding)
(4) No loud doof doof
(5) No road rage
(6) Use commonsense
(7) No alcohol consumption before and during cruise, this is a harsh one I know but...
Generally, it is all about meeting people and their cars, sharing the passions and enjoy the driving.
Next thing is we need to plan a few routes and stops, any ideas anyone?
Cheers,
K

Honestly I've found the best routes by going up to the hills and then just driving roads I've never been before. Just try to get yourself lost, it won't happen though every road connects to somewhere.
The best route I have ever known would be starting at Tea Tree Gully, heading up to Lobethal via Chain of Ponds and Cuddle Creek road. Proceed through Lobethal and at the end of street turn right and follow this road all the way through Basket Range and Forest Range until you get to Mt Lofty. From Mt Lofty head to Stirling and then turn down Sturt Valley Road and follow this all the way to the back of Blackwood. Get to the main road of Blackwood and then head down Shepherds Hill Road to South Road. End Cruise.
It will easily take a few hours and you'll all be knackered afterwards but what a route and selection of good roads

Thanks for the input, sounds like really great route you have there, I think I will try to map it onto google map or somthing later on, and post the link here (see if I can make it work), that way we all can see exactly where we all going, to be honest it's more for myself, I am the most hopeless person when comes to sense of direction, I was lost in Adelaide CBD a few times... :P Can't imagine getting lost in the area you mentioned.

Hey no problem mate, please make sure you have set up your User CP, so that when you have a new private message an email will get sent to you instantly. OR check back here on Saturday evening, I'll make a post at around 6pm telling whether the cruise has a green or red light.
I will also try to post some more info on the route by Friday night and meet point.
So far the weather condition has be met, except the car number, at the moment only Zoomz, you and I can make it this week, be good to have 3 more members then it will be a go ahead.
If this week cruise falls through, then it will be postponed till next week, until weather is good and car number is at least 5 or more.
BTW, if you already know a good route, please tell us, as I would be the worst person doing the lead, may ended up in the dead end or outback...
Just add your name to the list if you are up for the cruise:
Date: Sunday, 5th July 2009
Time: 1pm
Duration: Dunno, may be 3+ hours?
Meet point: To be discussed
Route:to be posted, please add your suggestion if you know any good one, otherwise I just have to go with what RotaS4 suggested above or similar.
Participants:
(1)Zoomz
(2)Kusanagi
(3)capella re
Cheers,
K

Ok, this is the route that RotaS4 suggested, I have plotted on Google Maps, please take a look guys:
Click "refresh" button on your web browser if the blue track line doesn't show up.
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&s...1&ie=UTF8&z=11
Pit stops in (B) Lobethal and (C) Stirling, goodbye point at (F) Flinders Uni somewhere.
When I look at it, I find that it is a bit long for a small group cruise, 71.9km total distance (excluding travel to meet point and back home) and nearly 2 hours of constant driving concentration is a bit hardcore, like RotaS4 said, you will be knackered at the end. May be we will reserve this for a slightly bigger group cruise.
Can someone please suggest or modify the route and post the link back here? Perferably around 40-50km max distance, with about 2 "pit-stop" somewhere in between for some rest, photo, chat, drink, toilet etc?
Cheers,
K
