G'day everyone,
it's been a long time since I've posted on the SAR forums, mainly due to not having a rotor for a while and there's also been lots of personal shit going on.
Anyways, I'm back. Unfortunately no rotor for a while but I thought I should pop in and say hello and update people with some news (as you can tell from the thread title).
Yes, I am ENGAGED! For (presumably) the girls, the ring is white gold with 3 princess cut diamonds. Very much a bling ring, just how Vanessa wanted it (had to be the world's sneakiest man to find out what she likes without her having a clue).
I proposed on Valentine's day down at Glenelg (her favourite beach) and things are going pretty damn well indeed. The engagement party with both families is in 3 weeks so that's gonna be interesting.
Oh yeah, I've said to Vanessa that one thing I want control of over at the wedding (May of 2011 if you're asking) is the cars that I and my groomsmen rock up in, and of couse I am hoping they will be FD RX7's!!! (specially since I've already owned two)
I know it's a year or so away, but can anyone shed some light on whether I would be able to put a call out to SA FD owners and see if anyone's interested in driving the groomsmen and I from St Georges (Burnside area) up to Lobethal, hanging around for max of an hour so we can do the ceremony and then take a couple of photos with the cars and then the FD people can leave? I just reckon it would be such a me thing to have FD's as my wedding cars... not obviously for after the ceremony but yeah, I wanna arrive in style!
Cheers,
Sam
PS: Any people who end up participating in said idea will be paid in either cash or alcohol (driver's choice of course). I did the same sorta thing for a guy off Ausrotary several years back when I had my Series 6 FD. Worked out well. He had the same deal in his wedding as what I wanna do for mine.
