Anyone else reckon it'd be a good idea to bring back a postwhore thread for just general chit chat and posting of silly pics. Lets make this whole site even better than the old one :)

Just FYI cat, towards the end I grew up, I gave advice where I could, became the 'see more talented people and people that are expert in these fields' to people who I couldn't help so I could at least point them in a direction to go and constricted my random crap to either my sig or the postwhore thread (where yes, I would be bored and write random things)
OR
somehow everyone knew that I have a playful side, loved me as some random crazy weirdo and gave me lots of stars under my name because they could....
*shrug*
gone are the days of spazmodic random text filling your lives with the craziness that is myself...
or is it? ;)
and although I don't own a rota and probably won't for a very long time, im an enthusiast and would still love to see the anniversary cruise live on in some shape or form :D

but this was last time i was round his place which was about a month ago now, and anything is possible with him. He did totally peice that black FC back together within a few days

Just got back from regency, all is well, car didn't pass.... Here's the list
1. Exhaust height, needs to be 100mm from ground, currently is 91mm
2. Front RH strut is stuffed.
3. Front springs are not captive (my understanding and theirs differ on this one)
4. Grommet missing on fuel hose entry to boot.
5. Grommet around speed o cable to be changed.
6. Other holes in firewall to be blocked up.
7. Sealed battery to be fitted to boot (odyssey or similar)
8. Small leak on master cylinder.
Other than that everything else is fine, despite the inspectors arguing with vehicle standards about the turbo and the diff. Funny as when the guy road tested it, I think he shat himself when it hit boost.
good to hear its finally almost on the road again, only a relatively small list so shouldnt be too hard to fix.
Need some stock front springs?

Anyone watch TGYH last night?
Anyone happen to hear the Wankel Rotary reference by Colin Lane (Lano & Woodley).
He was doing a sketch where he was a captain of a ship (Old school with pirates and cannonballs and stuff, not the love boat). He was rattling off random stuff to check and he mentioned "Check the Wankel Rotary". I LOLd! :)

hey madaz4, keep us posted on your trip to regency. i like hearing stories of cars passing. makes it easier to swallow the next time i get done with a jc cosmo 13b with a 45ml external gate t51r and 1700cc injectors. that was my last rotor and i think i would have been better off paying an inspector rather than goin back to standard for canary removal!!!
The best advice I can give you is to consult an engineer & vehicle standards before you mod anything, avoiding a defect in the first place is always easier than getting a car off defect. You'll be surprised what is actually legal....

I guess whenever people put rota in just about any cars, the cool factor will definitely be over the roof.

Nope he's only got the normal 180 front end (with a kit) to my knowledge

4 years ago i was going to do a 180sx with a s15 front and S5 13bt and we worked out the cost and to do it properly it was going to be all up about 30k with buying the car, for that money you could buy a FD which is what i went out and did
the hot tip is you will be way cooler in a FD than some mixed up nissan

Yeh it was a few years ago now, ive still got the mag in my pile somewhere. Ive got about 200 odd car mags lol
LS1 is popular over there cos they LOVE their big V8 motors
but for flexs corolla that just makes sense. small car little rotary engine. its like the guy with OKE 020. if youve seen his website when he had a 13b turbo in that at summernats it blew the doors off just about everything!!! ROTOROLLA!!!
