factory alarm problem

hey guys,
just wondering if anyone knows how 2 disable the factory alarmsystem.
I thought my factory alarmsystem didnt work ne more, so i installed a new alarmsystem in my rx7 fd. But after installing it, when i start the car up with the remote the factory alarmsystem goes off.

What year is the car? Australian Delivered or Import?

if you unlock the car with the key, it should disable the alarm..

Then only ever use the remote and you should be fine.

(Unless it's been set up wierd)..

yehhh that works. i meant like turn the actual alarm off completely. i just need to know where the alarm is.
