mount alma hillclimb

Not sure if you guys were aware of an event in south australia called the mount alma hillclimb. I'd never heard of it before untill i saw it in the new fast fours magazine. Very surprised at how many rotors 180sxs even a 260z with custom made 4 wheel drive setup and auto gearbox were involved. Really wish i went to it.

If anyone knows of or have ever been involved in this please elaborate, i'd like to know more about this event. Held over the weekend of 18 & 19 April on the Fleurieu Peninsula about an hour's drive (75kms approx) south of Adelaide.

Anyone here enter or spectate? I'm assuming james aka "vortex" was there to take pictures for rotary grunt??
actually not too far away to the next one really, 5 to 6 months. Seems like since everyone is sick of waiting for the dragstrip and motorsport complex that these track days hillclimb and other similar events are exploding in popularity which is a good thing.

Depends when it is, couldnt make it down last year, but would like to this year for sure.

If I remember correctly, just before u get to Victor Harbor on the road from Yankallila, its off to the left,
the climb goes up the hill range, that Victa is on the other side of...

There are quite a few videos on youtube if you search for it. I think the road (track) is pretty straight, so they would set up traffic cones to make it more winding.

I was there. Very sad about the rx4, I was about 100meters up the road and heard 8000rpm then nothing. That 260z was something else!! It crushed everything out there by 4 seconds, which was increadible considering the company. Very steep piece of road!
If I have another race car that is sorted by then I will be entering it.

Oh yeah amazing views up the top of the hill. you can see 35kms+ to the ocean.
