Well, by no means a buildup, but I just thought I'd share :)
No where it came from, but I had a burst of enthusiasm, and the 'vert is running again..
I managed to flood it a while back, and never quite got around to fixing it..
So far I have :
Unflooded it (New Plugs) and started it
Changed Oil & Filter
Fixed clutch (which was full of air)
Bled Brakes
Cleaned it :)
All wheels off, cleaned and polished
Started to Polish it as per Joe (Glorida's) teachings.
Fairly good chance I will finish polishing it tomorrow, register it, and go for a drive :)
Interesting thing I've noticed polishing.
Despite being 10 years older (almost), the paint quality is still MUCH better than my FD's ...
I'll post some new pics when it's all done.
Did I see you ripping through the hills a few months back? I was on my way down the chain o ponds and you were going up it? I managed to pull a stupid face at the driver of the red vert, but not enough to recognise who it was!
Im going to lunch for my brother's bday, so I could join you in the S4 early morning or late arvo?? I need motivation to get it running too :)

Well, radiator is out... and definitely has a problem :(
Can I ask what the PWR set you back Danny?
Something weird (I thought)...
There is the normal temp sender at the bottom of the Rad, but there was also a temp sensor inserted into a slit in the top hose? wtf? Is that normal?
pwr rad was over 850 beans i think but was a few years ago now

This is all sorted now..
I ended up buying an alloy radiator from ebay. Interestingly enough, the quality is pretty similar to the Koyo in my FD, apart from maybe the fins, which are a bit fragile.
Anyway, it all bolted up really nicely, and runs cooler than previously. Only mods required were a rubber plug on the new (unneeded) radiator overflow outlet, and the standard cold air ducting will no longer fit due to the extra depth of the top radiator tank.
The real leak turned out to be the long heater hose which had failed massively. And what a bitch to get on/off at the engine end!

My new FD Race wheels fit just fine too :)
