Hi everyone
Just bought a mint series 3. Been sitting in a shed for the last few years. Standard rebuilt 12a with only mod being an exhaust with rotaflow mufflers, resprayed original colour with a pearl over the top.
Don't know a huge amount about rotaries at the moment, but I work in spare parts at a Mazda dealer so figured I should get one to learn how they work.
Only picked up this 7 last night so haven't had much of a chance to drive it and the tail lights/dash lights don't work so can't drive it at night (any ideas? Headlights work but parkers/tails/ dash lights don't. I'm thinking combination switch)
Also have an r31 skyline as a track/hillclimb car with microtech etc. sitting in the shed.
Only pics I have are from my iPhone so pretty crap quality and can't see the pearl. Doesn't help that it badly needs a wash too.

Welcome, nice gen 1. Nice ones are getting pretty hard to find these days. I wouldn't mind a mint stocker gen 1 for a daily. You've obviously tried all the fuses for the light situation??
Have you got brake lights just no tail lights or rear lights don't work full stop?

Yeah brake lights work, getting power before and after the fuse. Going to try a spare indicator stalk tomorrow from a junker series 2 that I gave to my mate has and start from there.
I'm pretty stoked I found such a good example too

Yeah, doesn't change anything, I've got nothing but brake lights and indicators now. Ordered a new genuine combination switch today so will see if it fixes it when it comes in tomorrow.
I work at Reynella Mazda. Can help any members here out with a decent price on parts if you ask nicely enough :)

Combination switch fixed all my light problems, but now both left hand side shockers have blown, so needs a full set of shocks. Joys of old cars that have been sitting around for a while

What was a combo switch worth I need one. I guess s2 would be the same as s3.

Thanks mate.
Spose I should make a car thread for this now, I've done a bit of work to it now as it's my daily driver, things started going wrong fairly quickly. Has new genuine window channels, belt moulds are on order too, then new door weather seals after that.
Has a really bad knock from the back end and sounds like the diff is going to fall out when I drive up driveways so need to get new bushes in the rear. Also needs a new diff if anyone has one...

only do the lower control arm bushes with polyuthane bushes, IF you can get upper bushes in rubber from mazda new, use them..
nolathane/whiteline types of bushes are too hard to have them top and bottom and cause the rear axle to bind up and not move properly under hard accleration.

Sweet thanks for the info I'll go genuine where I can, priced up nolathane, glad I didn't order them
