I've got the s2 rear axle in my s1 and I need a new axle seal + LSD oil.
Does anyone know what the code would be or whatever?

Hey mate, by seal I guess you mean bearing as that is what seals the oil in... and the part number for the bearing is 6206LU.

Not that you will buy that one but any CBC will have it.

Christian I was going to call you the other day, I've got a project in mind and been doing some rough costing in my head. Any idea what a half cut of a 2002-3 era mx5 goes for? I want to transplant a bpt into the 626...

FOO - For diff oil I have Penrite LIMSLIP 90 in my S2 with a Guru LSD.

James that sounds like a fun conversion, lol another project. I Have had bad thoughts too as to what good RWD car I can put one of these into and thought a 626 coupe would be good :) Pretty much the same chassis as a 1st gen.
As for the price I think they are around $2500 for a half but can always keep an eye out...

An engine on ebay for $500 at the moment with 150k on it... You can use a Familia engine if you wanted but a bit more hassle. So build this one for boost ;)

If you need a hand with it let me know, I'm keen!

Christian

It's not the bearing which seals the oil in but a proper rubber seal which sits behind the bearing around a lip. Changed it over yesterday.
