Microtech mtx8 advice please

Hey all. I have two mtx8's- one version 1 and one version 2.
The version 1 is currently tuned for my 12abp but I want to run version 2 as it has laptop connectivity(I have a dongle) The question I am asking is..... Is there a way I can save the tune from the version 1 and load it to the version 2 and run that so I can use a laptop to keep an eye on things instead of the hand controller; note the version 2 is set-up to run a rotor with same sensors etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers

Just sit down and check the map in the version 1 and maybe take some notes on settings and menus , Make sure you map is saved on the Memcal (it should be on memcal 1 if i remember correctly on hand programmer) then unplug the version 1 and plug in version 2. just do some comparison check on the software version for any major differences in the menus/settings, load the map off the hand programmer and all should be good

I don't think there is any major difference in the menus so the map should load fine and run

Hey matt, did what you said and no go?
Saved my 12atune to memcal1 then plugged in the version 2 loaded memcal1 onto it but doesn't show up?? Weird... Not compatible?? It's got me stumped?

It maybe because the the version 2 MTX8 is actually a LTX8 essentially in the shell of the MTX8 Case and the way the logic software is written and the menu structure changes and makes the maps incompatible

Mate it might not be compatible, the only other suggestion would be to call Microtech and ask them direct

Looks that way mate..... Might save the ugraded micro for the turbo conversion when I finally get around to it (it's already got 13b turbo maps on it) ;o) cheers
