Mate my manifold is getting doe as we speak :D

At the same place as doc said

I was quoted $100 for the 1.06 Gt35R housing and around $130-150 for my steam pipe manifold + $25-50 for the facing for the manifold also.. Mine had been welded and need as was a little warped

Estimated time is 12 working days as they don't do black as much as the crappy silver and that the silver wont stand the heat of a rotary :japonais:

Is part of the pacemakers business...top people to deal with.
Took one of my toyota apprentice groups there for a factory tour of there exhaust production and there heat treating set ups...
From raw material through to finished product...
There R&D section was very interesting...

Mate they look sexy and the temps run lower with the coating over the beanie from what i have read.. also the beanies can cause heat to be trapped in it on cool down and take longer to cool

Also think about doing the dump pipe as i will get mine done once it has been modded and the plump back waste gate welded to it

Then if bay temps still high then rap the shit up

I was hoping that my stuff was going to be ready today but not till Monday..Which sucks as i go away and can't pick it up for a week :faceslap:

Keen to see you're turbo and manifold with the coating done. keep me updated, cheers

yea id like to get this done once I get some extractors for my corolla

Does it matter if the extractors are painted or are bare as if i buy second hand they will be painted but if I buy brand new they will be bare metal...

they have to bead blast the metal first so as long as the material is ok for that it's alright, but most of these guys want new pipe

if it keeps the heat around the manifold cooler and stops your wiring from melting its worth every cent

remember keeping everything around your engine cool will help keep you engine temps down. Small price compared to engine rebuild.

Im looking at getting my stuff coated, was previously running a beanie which did wonders for under bonnett temps. Its only a couple hundred ks old so still prob run it even with the coating.

Cheers

horsepower in a box do ceramic coating and their prices seem pretty reasonable in comparison. I haven't used them for ceramics but have heard good things about their work on manifolds and turbo housings.
only available in black - rated at 3000 degrees
exhaust manifolds - $198
ehaust housing - $150

08 8463 0913 9am-5pm Monday to Friday or 0414 780 830 9am-10pm 6 Days

best ringing to confirm prices

IMO,and experience, ceramic coating is a waste of money in terms of heat retention. Its looks great, but a combination of heat wrap, beanies, and proper heatshields using the ACL stuff work thousands times better.

Never seen or heard of a BB turbo dieing cos of beanies, one of the best $150 you can spend on a turbo engine bay IMO.

You wont see much of the hotside in a FC engine bay either, better off spending your money elsewhere on more usefull stuff.

Mate in your R100 you would have major heat soak issue due to the compact size of the setup Ale. so in your case a good match as said above is the trick

(i am not doubting you Ale as the is the first setup and will be check details and data, EGT bay temps and stuff)

I got my manifold and housing back today and looks good but still have to put it back together and get some heat to finish the coating curing and will give some results once i know more
