I had seen them the day the cars went up. old barn find, deceased estate. 2 cars. Both R100's one was a road car and the other was a ex rally car. I messaged the vendor, but he didn't even know how complete the cars were!
Well I can't believe the money they fetched. Interested in your thoughts on the matter.

I think recent prices are mildly retarded...yeah they are worth what someone is willing to pay but...didnt someone pay nearly 1mill for an XY a couple of years ago? LOL bet they are wishing they didnt now.
prices will allways go up and down, but i think some people have helped this along..."look its a clean 808,its gotta be worth 6k coz you can turn it into an rx3"....CRAP.
Geniune,yes...name the price and if someone is retarded enough they will buy it...bubble will burst eventualy tho.
Dont get me wrong...i'll get down and blow my bank manager if necessary if i find a sweet s2 rx2 coupe for sale...;)
And i spose im still living in the past, before every young muppet could get finance...which helped the prices along...

Yeah, the world is changing, and if ya know where a car is, best get your hands on it before the owner figures out what it's really worth and gives you the big finger! The fish that got away stories are a million to the penny! And rest assured, I'm lookin for them, in every town I pass through, in the ETSA bucket as high as she goes.
As for $40k for two wrecks! Must be coke in those tyres! I can get a mint, rebuilt R100 with matching numbers for that. That still requires assembly, but most parts there are NOS. So I can't see the value of them myself!
Bet they are re-listed or tossed out once the executor of the deceased estate realizes that he's dealing with dreamers with one thong!

In the most unlikely places sometimes. And the old boys don't like letting anything go. There's gotta be a few more out there. Parked in sheds, under trees, anywhere really. I'm only after a RX2 sedan now. That'll be enough. Then onto finding a split window kombi. So if ya know where a project sedan with compliance and build plate are, let me know, if ya don't plan on buildin it yourself.

There's an RX2 in my back yard, tossing up whether to take it to a oaken shop and have the front repaired or just chop it and sell it in bits. It's a bit of a shame though as it's engineered for 13bt. And I still have the parts to bring it back to it's former glory.

Cool, cheers man. I reckon I saw your 2 in your shed pics. They're such good lookin cars. I have a coupe, but a sedan would be nice to complete the set. Just summer cruisers.
