Windshield wiper sluggish movement

anyone know what could be the cause of slow and sluggish moving wipers? i have changed to a smaller battery but i didn't think that it could be the cause.

try disconecting the wiper at the plug and briefly connect ya wiper directly to ya battery
if it wipes at a decent speed again then ya problems in ya wiring....
if its still sluggish wired direct its probably ya wiper motor

this is what i am talking about answers on a legendary thread.lol i hope nobody gets mad here banging this old thread. i will be doing those 2 things that i haven't done yet. but from my observation looks like the culprit is the windshield wiper motor (http://www.racepages.com/parts/windshield_wiper_motor.html). tsk tsk.
