I guess the more revenue made from the cameras the more they will put in- soon they will be on every set of lights! Makes it very hard for us old rotor drivers with a speedo in mph lol

Aren't they talkin about privatizing the radar's aswell? Britain has just removed their speed camera's as it was found in a study they did nothing to curb the road toll.

That won't happen here..

This is a Police State run by greedy corrupt incompetents.

In all honesty, who is stupid enough to be speeding through intersections?
There are better places to be doing that..... :D :D

I'm actually a bit dissapointed that the British are removing their fixed speed cameras. They seem to put them at actual black spots. Adelaide speed cameras are quite clearly placed where they will generate maximum revenue.

You know where I saw Evil Knievel and his laser gun the other day? At the end of the 60 zone, just before the 100 sign at the start of the SE Freeway (he was parked in the bike track). For sure mate, you're there for safety, in a section of road where I've never once seen an accident, and the only difference between the road in the 60 zone and the road in the 100 zone is the bloody numbers printed on a sign. :faceslap:

...the bottom on the 1st right bend so they can see you coming down the straight

Are you talking about that bus stop at the Mount Osmond Rd exit, looking (towards Adelaide) back down the straight towards the big left corner (map (http://maps.google.com.au/?ie=UTF8&ll=-34.970841,138.657385&spn=0.006436,0.016512&t=h&z=17))? That one is a bit below the belt as well. That big left changes incline half way through it so that you speed up, and it seems not many people are capable of watching both their speedo and making a high speed left hand turn (when I'm next to them I'd rather they watch the road than their speedo around that corner). They must get bucketloads of people at the exit of that corner, before people have a chance to straighten up and look at their speedo.

Once again, never seen an accident there, and also having trouble seeing how some accidental speeding could lead to an crash on that straight (unlike say 1km further up the freeway, where it gets twisty and you never see a laser gun).

On a side note, when was the last time you saw a cop on a bike?

I believe that the division is going to be (or has been) disbanded, and all the piggies transferred to the country! how nice is that?
