Im Nic and many of you already know me form the last forum

i have a FD that i took off the road october 07 and then had painted in march 08 then never finished putting it back together
since then ive moved house a few times and been on a few massive benders and then at the start of this year i bought a JC cosmo so getting the FD together hasnt been high on my to do list

here is some pic's and ill put up more details on each car in the showcase thread

well the house im in now has a carport and a doubble garage and lots of parking out the back as well as a driveway that will allow low cars in so the plan is to get it here in the next few weeks and start some work on both cars

nothin better than sitting back watchin someone else do the hardwork. You ever seen the black cosmo used to have plates 13b re tt. Got huge 19's under the guards. Its now got a 20b tho. thats a mate of mine, lives happy valley. its off the road at the moment with oil control seal probs. He's got a yellow capella with plans of tubs (if he can make his mind up for a change!!!!)
the cosmos are the original mack daddy.

its been a long time since ive seen that cosmo out and about
the FD would take about a day to clean up, there is 15 months of dirt and dust on it, and it hasnt even had a buff after the paint job

at least its moved on from all that time it spent at afr/katie's sitting up the back all sad and lonely! was tempted to clean it at many a late night session!

haha a clean would have been good but a new gearbox would have been better, katie took good care of that car for me and have been lucky to have her helping me out all this time

yeah i definitely agree, car looks so nice and i love the grey with goldish pearl paint colour :D

really well your a lucky boy cos it was rarely out the front in the drive way, spent most of the time out back or in the shed cos it was out of NSW rego. well i guess there was a few times i had it out there over the weekend and forgot to bring it in.

you should have stolen it!
everytime it was in the driveway it had the keys in it cos i knew i would be putting it back in shortley

i guess there was a time it sat out there for a month while i had the shed full of stuff and on weekends when i would use the shed for other stuff

i bet you never saw the FD tho, that only spent about 2 hours out front when i first moved in

yeh it is but i dont drive it much, maybe once every 2 weeks
and you wont be seeing it down there anymore cos we moved from that house (devo cos it was the perfect house) and we are in blackwood until we can find another place in that area

the lease ended and the owners moved back from qld and wanted to live there

$450 a week for everything i needed (well no pool)

now everything down there is $500 with no garage or not enough bedrooms or no backyard, it sux arse at the moment

i said i would give them $1k cash and up the rent to $500pw but they really wanted to move back in

ill just by my own place when the missus finishes her nursing at the end of the year, then i wont have to worry about this stuff

and then i can build my own pimped out shed

Update time
Well i went to drive my Cosmo from my mums to my new place at glenelg about a month ago and it wouldnt start, so i locked it and walked away and get sad each day when i drive past it while working...sigh...

so i went to my auntys house to get my FD and it had a flat battery so i locked the shed and walked away hahahaha

so i have a double garage with nothing in it at my new place haha

then later that week i get a call from my GF to tell me she is on the side of the road and has overheated my BMW

as you can tell ive sorta given up and dont really care much about my cars at the moment so i might give it a few weeks and see if give a shit then

so now i have

wow, your really not having a good month hey! if you need a hand with anything just give me a call and i'll help out. how longs the license gone for? plans on the fd now on the back burner or what?

Its at least 6 months and i have to go to court cos they are pushing for more but i got my lawyer on it so see what happens


well now i should have more time to get my cars sorted but since i have no licence i have to pay someone to drive me for work and im also unable to do as much work as i can by myself, it works out to be about $400-500 a week less im earning

any way im still alive and i have no licence still because im a alcoholic, but my boss is still helping me keep my job

oh and i still have both my rotors and they both run when they are charged up
my painter is ment to be coming to look at them to see what needs to be done then i will hand him cash and dont want to have anything to do with them untill they are finished

im a little over cars at them moment if you couldnt tell

long time no see nic. i guess you didn't go so well appealing the suspension after all. was hoping to catch up with you at the bday cruise but didn't see you there. i'll give you a call next time im your way.
demotivation and cars go hand in hand, just don't get rid of em!! something will come along and give you your mojo back. im a bit the same at the moment with mine, and yet mines driving and regoed. have considered the old for sale sign more than a couple of times, trouble getting parts and people trying to rip me off etc.
if you need some extra motivation, il take you for a spin in mine. time flies, your license will be back before you know it.

still serving my 6 months, my lawyer keeps getting it adjourned because we keep getting the same dodgy judge. I think 15 of jan is the next date so should find out then

ive been offered a few cars that i could do conversions to

The cosmo has a near new engine in it so i might use that and sell the cosmo shell for 4k or something. or might go for 10k for the whole thing

been offered a complete 808 with everything on it and in good condition just needs paint and engine.

or a 96 BMW e36 m3 with a blown engine that would be killer with a rotor in it

sent cosmo to pedders and got a $14 suspension check and got my list of things to replace to make it mint again

so maybe by spring she will be rolling
