Is A.I.R going to be re-used for the public again or is there a new one opening up somewhere else. Heard something a while back about one near port adelaide possibly gettin' built...? Any clues???

I had heard from someone in the bizz that they are looking at developing a sort of motor sport park down by the power station.

They are going to incorrporate the Adelaide speed boat club and a strip.

This is from someone who is heavily involved in both the boats and cars.

and they have been tolerated because they are Holdens and Fords.....
If that were japanese cars the law woulda made a huge prescence
and stamped that shit out way before the notoriety it has now achieved

we get shit for the trouble they cause...........
maybe the government should provide an outlet for people to race their cars?????
and maybe one day ill buy a V8 holden......YEAH RIGHT

In September Cops will be getting more power to crush cars if caught street racing. Even for a first offence. Does that include the hills?

I want to know the legal definition of street racing.... As far as I'm concerned the speed limit is the speed limit, and if my tires aren't frying and I don't go over that limit how can they justify it as street racing?

My last defect the car was parked with the engine running and I was on the phone, coppa pulled up in front of me and proceeded to go through my car like a dose of salts. When I asked why I was targeted he commented that he'd heared my blow off valve, which was impossible as the vac line wasn't connected, but it was in the bay and I copped it on the chin.

Friday is the day the KE20 gets SA rego, all legal too!

I got defected, and thought , ill do the 13BT conv while its off he road and get it legal
so i do the mods as per the statement of requirements i obtained from regency standards
when i go thru regency they say they dont believe the statement of req i had obtained from them?????????????????????????????????????????????? ???
so they redefect me and make me come back for 2nd time
so i re apply for the statement
and everything i did was as per the new statement, which was exactly the same as the old one?????????????
so I get it passed thru regency go across the road to motor reg and regester it.....
i drove it for a month and it went to M&C Doyles for the widebody....
months later it was finished, what a brilliant job too!!!!!!!
so i go to register it....................
there was a lock on my rego, placed by regency
they lost the paperwork and as a result wanted me to go back thru regency
before i could register my car????????????
when i asked why, they said they didnt have the paperwork??????
CAN U BELIEVE THAT
spent 3 years of my life and all my money doin everything, to get the car legal
for what another trip to regency.......for nothing, what a joke
should have fitted a jet engine to my car
after a long, long, heated argument they turned round and cleared my car......
lucky Im such a tenacious asshole or i woulda ended up thru regency AGAIN

Jeez Corey that sounded like a bit of a misson! Glad I never tried to take my car thru there when I had it, after all that was the original plan but I sold it before I had the chance to take it thru.

200 grand street racing a week ?.....iv neva heard of that b4 n iv done my fair share off blownin doors off in my past....had a datsun 1600 with a fj20 in it bac in 1999,had loads of fun in it..lol..til i got d rota bug an neva lookd bac...lol...i heard they are re opening mitisubishi test track at murray bridge ,the guy frm city dismantlers is fundin it....he was fundin port adelaide but the council trashd that idea so he gone out n bought mitisubishi test track n that will b turn in2 a sportin complex

i see alot of cars that hav been complied as imports or hav had bad accidents n are still on d road,bent contol arms are nothing 2 what iv seen,try a chasssis rain bent bac 30mm on a rx7 s8, to wheel align it had 2 elong gate holes ..lol..n d thing passed regency n got complied..lol seen it at t wrk shop when i was lookin in2 buyin a rx7 s8...not givin details of d car due 2 d fact i feel sorry for the person dat wood hav bought it.....

I would be very surprised if the old mitsi test track re opens as a drag strip strip/motorsport complex, and dont hold your breath for AIR either.

If you want to have some fun your best bet would be Mallala as that is all we have and most likely all we will ever have.
The other option is to travel interstate which is a lot of fun but pretty pricey by the time you pay for trailer,hotels,tyres,food etc etc.
