I've been looking into corner weighting lately. I've found a few good write ups etc on the net but when i looked into corner weight scales they're like $1500000 bazillion dollars. not really worth it unless you are doing lots of track work. Does anyone know of any place in adelaide that are good with suspension set ups? I only want to do the occasional track day and hillclimb events etc but would also like the benefit of using the suspension to its full potential and getting it set up right. any ideas/experiences?

Brandon at S2 Performance is your man. He sets up Brad's FD and works/worked with a lot of the top open wheel teams in Australia..

Brandon's details are on this page: http://www.s2performance.com.au/

Unless your entering in serious competition
or have serious cash, corner weighting is overkill!!!
THR do cornerweighting but for u jesse a simple alignment will do!!!!
if u got coilovers they just need to be adj as even as possible height wise
and adj shoks set at approx 3/4 to full hard on front
and half hard on rear.....
Castor maxed, front camber maxed, almost zero front toe
I can sort it for ya mate..$88 for an alignment
and if I have to mess around with coilovers it's just the normal labour rate per hour
$90./hr

I'd beg to differ. If you already have coilovers it would have to be one of the best things you could do to an already aligned car.

Sure, align first, but corner weighting the car can't be a bad thing to have done considering all it usually requires is adjustments to spring perches etc.

A set of Longacre corner weight scales can be found for about $1500 locally, certainly not beer money but not too expensive if you split up between a couple of mates...

The car has already been aligned etc but will be due for another one soon when i fit some new bushes i got through energy suspension and new tie rod ends. I would prefer to pay someone to do it rather than spend $1500 and do it at home as most of my mates are not into cars so i couldnt split the cost up.

I've read a heap of articles with before and after results and all say it was well worth the effort so its something i will definately be doing in the near future. Might aswell get the most out of you're expensive set of coil overs or whats the point of having them when you can just buy lowered springs and shocks for half the price..

Don't get me wrong, corner weighting is brilliant!!!!
If you have gone the WHOLE WAY thru your suspn,
it's really the only way to get the balance of your car perfect!!
That's VERY important!!!
That's why Mazda spent billions of dollars developing the rotary in the first place!
all my point was, is for most people the money could be spent elsewhere for more effect
like better tyres than kuhmos etc!!!
Plus if your car is straight...
And ur anal with a tape measure and have a patch of perfectly level ground
you can do a pretty good job yourself!!!!

And the right amount of fuel...Blah blah
even tho it's "had a wheel alignment" Jesse
I'd be very surprised if I couldn't do alot better/get more out of it for ya!!!!
