bonnet pins are a problem? that's all i've got on the fiberglass bonnet for the track car, this could be a problem

Ownage:
Just get onto North East Rd, heading into the hills and keep going straight... go past Birdwood, Mt Pleasant etc until you get almost to Angaston.
13bwankel:
They suggest you have 2 types of securing mechanism for the bonnet, you may be able to get away with just pins though depending on which class you enter...
jesse_RE:
I hope you like steep hills coz Collinggrove is full of them to get a good view point. Good to watch though, i need to go down another couple of times to see what times other rotors get...

My bonnet is held on with 4 bonnet pins, surely 4 aren't going to fail all at once... should be ok I would think

If it's the same CAMS rule 'dual stage lock needed' that they use at Mallala, stock catch with no pins is fine as the stock bonnet catch is a dual stage lock :)

yeah that's all that was on the other car, could still be a problem because on this car it's gone...

only problem is that gen1 rotors only have a single stage lock... once you pull the lever on the inside of the car the bonnet is fully up... thats why i had to get pins. The guy @ autosport told me i would require them for mallala.

And the bonnet opens the wrong way, so it's not going to fly open now is it :P
Anyway, scruiteneers can be picky, but on Dave's car he has a multistrand cable looped through the bonnet and around the rad panel secured with some of those rock climbing hitch things (don't know the name of them) - admittedly on his FD - but that would have to be a better option than bonnet pins for a street car.

1st gens never use to have to worry about the dual stage lock, because of the rear opening bonnet. Ive never had a problem with mine
