thought maybe we could have a thread on old rotors from sa, whether they are still around or not. not asking for names and addresses, just want to know if those old cars from my teens are still around like
-HI RPM orange r100 havent seen it for a long while.
-MADCAP i went to highschool with the guy that bought this in 97 or 98. got defected i
think
-COFFIN apparantly now in qld, still with plates
-RE i bought a white rx2 off this guy few years back, was rebuildind it again.
-MY OLD RED RX3 COUPE i sold this to a workmate at ne nissan before it closed down,
havent seen or heard of it since. had a 13b race pridgeport. think his name was
dave.
-RX FILE that would only be known down south, built by mark at madaz, featured in speed
magazine 13bre to4e microtech pwr external gate. mate of mine still owns it, was
white with big madaz stickers down the side. Made 270kwatw on 14.5psi.


and im sure there are plenty of others but thats just to kick it off. Im hoping all the old rotors have gone into hiding not interstate or wrecked for parts. Saw the sa rotors bday cruise photos and there were mad rotors i havent seen before. Im pretty sure alot of us worry bout getting defected so theyre retired to sunny weekend duties.

rx rated white s4 rx7 i got the motor built at mildrens in 2000 sold it to a wannabe just after i ran it in, were is it now,i wish i still had it.

madcap sat in a front yard in hawthorndene for about 4 years and got stripped for all its good parts then about 3 years ago was only a shell then it was gone without a trace

if i remember right the plates were on a white rx2 a aqua rx2 and a black rx2 coupe

yeah i was a blackwood boy. re was on an aqua rx2. my mates uncle bought it. sat up at stirling doin nothin for a couple of years, then got sold to a guy near tt plaza that stripped it back to a body to rebuild. last time i saw it was 2 years ago when i bought a white rx2 sedan off him. that was a damn shame bout madcap i used to love that car. my mates uncle tried to buy it when it went fluro orange but the owner wouldn't sell it. probably a good thing anyway. he loves mayhem.

yeh that would have been lincoln or darryl that had it with the RE plates on it
the plates should still be on a black 2 coupe, it was featured in a few mags a few years ago

Yeah that was my old car, I sold quite a few years ago and I heard the other day it was written off? I will load up some pics later on. Some of you may remember the car as I came out on a few cruises. I really wish I didnt sell that car:mad:

Its not all about power. Suspension setup and tryes are pretty important too. My car makes around 400rwkw and I think you will find the weight is closer to 1850 with my fat arse in it LOL! It still doesnt sound as good as my old rota tho :frown:
