Would love to have the Jag again, and the MX-5 was a brilliant unbreakable car..

Mercs used to be great - the newer they got, the worse..

The Subie is no doubt the best Daily, they are a great shopping trolley :)

okay cars

butt nose RX4 sedan. seriously faded and crazy cracked paint. original 12a twin dizzy auto. sourced from WA. even had a tow bar for pulling the previous owners boat.
sold after the next car on the list was purchased.

72 RX3 coupe. decomp 12a 5 speed. had a bad habbit of getting 5 kms from home and blowing something up. exhausts were my personal nightmare. ended up filing mums shed for ten years in pieces. recently went to a good home.

74 RX3 sedan. ex rally car. rusted beyond all belief. side draught webber with a k&n air filter that dropped a bolt / nut and destroyed a brand new 6 port. dropped in a bridge port (secondhand) run for 30 seconds and seized. put in another 6 port and had some fun. lost the LH rear wheel at 80 kms destroyed the leaf spring / brake assembly and damaged rear quarter. fixed and upgraded the front brakes to series 5. the end of this car was when the rh sill panel caved in on the workshop hoist.

series 1 RX7. bought with a blown rotor. replaced with the six port from the 74 RX3. installed the locked diff, race seats autometer gauges, mad stereo. all from the 3.
drove it like a mad man and eventually sold it to a mate.

series 4 RX7. race seats full sony expold system, tanabi single exit exhaust, sick blow off, 17 inch tickford rims.stopped driving it as I kept breaking it. swapped itfor a lemon.

hard top pillarless 929. stock. mad car wanted to 13b turbo it but sold it to a mate.

04 RX8. current car. stock except for the momo gear shift. on the car when purchased and the sick 5 point kids race seat.

bikes

97 Suzuki RG250. weapon bike for L plates. written off 4 times

98 Suzuki RMX250.

03 Yamaha WRYZ 250. road registered YZ max speed 110kms. 2 second gear changes. awesome fun on and off road.

03 YFM 250 quad. collar bone breaker. not meant to do supercross doubles.

03 YZF R6. still have this but havent really riden it since the RX8 rolled into the stable.

rubbish cars or daily

ke30 corrolla. first car. written off 3 times

LJ torana

LH torana

VL commodore

Wrecked RX3 sedan. yellow. drivers side damage if anyone can claim it. eagle on the hill accident from memory.

VY commodore. wifes car.

At any one time I probably had 5 to 8 cars at a time. most waiting to be repaired.

fair list of bikes!!!
funny how ppl who like rotors seem to like bikes....
cosmetic write offs are easy with bikes.....
often damage of fairings, lights, levers, bars, screens, tanks etc plus cost of labour add up to equal cost of replacement new bike
racers then buy cosmetic write offs, fit fiberglass race fairings and custom bits n go racing
cheap as on the latest bikes!!!!

lol

bikes are awesome,... so long as you are careful and don't stack it :D

my list of cars,...
86 Magna SE... so great that it used more oil than petrol, had no o rings and sometimes only ran on two pistons,... eventually had to PAY 50$ for someone to get rid of it!
02 Ford Laser... still the unexceptional daily that hasn't reached the 90,000 Km mark yet...
82 S2 Rx7... gone, but still holds many excellent memories,... and I can say at least I know what went into that car considering most the wiring, interior, mechanicals, bushes, you name it was replaced :( all it needed was a paint job and some decent wheels and it would have been a nice almost stock s2!

wanting to trade the laser in for a mazda 3 hatch or something now considering all I want it the conundrum of a small car with room and power lol :D

So far ive had..

'97 Hyundai Excel Sprint(watermelon colour) - had big wheels, exhaust, full stereo, cool first car!
1981 Mazda 626 Sedan - was an in-between car before my next- sold it with a very dodgy motor lol
'03 Holden Astra SXi - also had big wheels, exhaust, had her for 5 years and i miss her very much - she loved coming on rota cruises :(
1990 S5 Rx7 - waiting for the microtech to be installed and should have it back very very soon wahooooooooooo

22-06-2009, 03:03 AM
84 AE82 Corolla - fist car, ex cop blue.
82 Bluebird - as fast as it sounds.
86 FC30 - Aussie delivered series 4, povvo pack, pretty much got a ground up re-build, only thing that didn't get changed in that car were the struts! Met it's demise 3 months after I bought my house.
84 626 - Cheap daily, did good jumps but.
89 VN Commodore - Sold it to flex, who promptly rolled it!
87 FC30 - Series 5 turbo running gear, ugly to look at but fun to drive, defected, think sanjay might still have it.
74 KE20 - Sitting stripped in my shed. Bought it off kendo, found it had too much rust to restore, stripped it for spares for my current one.
90 AE92 - Wifes old car, my daily till it did a head gasket.
84 Leone - Boxer 1.8, current daily, absolute heap!
2009 Levin ZR - The sensible family car, wife drives it to work so she thinks it's hers!
74 KE20 - My current toy, bought it already done and engineered, Pumped a whole lot more cash into it, and it's still not running right! I'll elaborate one day but for the moment it's still too depressing.

As said by yelloS2Rx7 was mostly cosmetic writes offs. Dropped it 3 times the last time after a three month paint job. custom fluro orange with black stripes. the first time the side stand collapsed and broke one of the power valves. $3000 dollar rebuild.

A friend of the fella from tassie that bought my s1 savannah i painted, regularly gets in contact with me via ausrotary.com to give me updates.

Couldnt have sold it to a better bloke IMO, he's done heaps to it within a year or so of owning it..

When i owned her, it had a 12at in it. Since then hes re-done all the suspension and steering including lowering it. After fitting a cooler and full exhaust and turning the boost up to 10psi he kept blowing diffs(2) so he fitted a hilux rear-end with skyline rear brakes(had drummies) and slotted on some nice simmons.

Then he dropped in a 13bt with a large extend port, dowelled, acr seals, 12at prim injectors, compter oh an did i mention a GT35/40!!! Running 9psi making 240rwkw's but could go to 20psi and is hoping for around 300killerwasps. Plus an alloy radiator for extra cooling.

He also got around to painting the enginebay and underside of the bonnet, which really finishes off the look.
Here are some pics n vids-

man can imagine how many early rotors have been written off lol

ok my list of cars goes like this:

1974 Toyota KE25 Corolla 1200 Coupe Deluxe
- Bought as first car, found out engine was screwed, been through 3 engines and still not on the road... still got it now has 5K 5speed, should be on road soon...

1972 Toyota KE20 Corolla Deluxe
Bought to drive, engine blew head gasket, wrecked it...

1982 Toyota KE70 Corolla CS
First car that I actually had no major problems with. Loved it to bits, by the time I got rid of it couple of weeks ago it had full AE86 suspension, 14" rims with RE001 tires etc. Engine had a 3K head, thrashed it day in day out. Miss it now :(

1982 Toyota KE70 Corolla XX
Bought for parts, wrecked it and used manual convo for above KE70

Currently
No car, sold car to buy computer, now looking for cheap reliable daily to drive...
Probably get a KE70 again, cant go wrong lol...

oh and love rotors, will own one one day...
