Hey guys, just letting you know there is a motorkhana coming up on the 25th April @ Big W, Monarto...

Im competing in every round this year and so far i have been the only rotor out there...
(which means i can say im #1 rotor on the day:banana:)

However, if you wish to enter or even just come down for a peep, contact me and i will give you full details coz it would be great to have some rotor support down there...

What time the event starts? I think It's Anzac day on the 25th? Depends on the time, I may or may not be able to make it.

gates open @ 9am for scruitineering(dumb spelling) and competition starts at around 10:30am till about 4pm.

yeah, i rocked up @ the porsche day ready to roll and gates were shut. they are planning it for another day some time soon so that everyone who paid like me can still do the event.

Just letting everyone know that motorkhana went well and i did have some rotor company by an rx8... didnt get to see his runs because he was ina different group to me but i hear he did ok...

G'day guys,

I was the other rotor out there on the day - giving the 8 a bit of a run. First Motorkhana so a pretty steep learning curve but a lot of fun! Had a reasonable result, but only having one run on the last two tests hurt the score a bit! Looking forward to getting out there again at some stage - nice to say a quick hi to you Jason.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Keep an eye out as i believe the next one is coming up on the 16th May and run by the porsche club of SA. You need a CAMS licence to enter that one though as it is not a come and try.

you only need an l2ns licence though (~$40 for a yearly one, and if you are under 25 you can still get cheap sscsa membership).

L2NS CAMS licence is $55 for the year so its not too expensive but you have to be a member of a CAMS car club which cost anywhere up to $100+ depending on who you go with.

My car club charges $40 membership fee for the year so it ends up costing $95 for a L2NS licence each year. Porsche club charges $80 membership fee and there are even more expensive ones out there...
