thats sweet! how fast can those things go?
with the 2 speed its about 65-70mph, never found a bigger enough carpark to hit top speed. It definitely moves, serious toy. Should take it out to ingle farm shopping centre

I used to race RC cars very very seriously for a number of years traveled interstate a number of times and went to the national titles before selling most of my gear and going kart racing. had a few years away from racing, recently got these two again but this time I'm treating it as a real hobby and only playing with them every so often...
The 1/8th buggy is an Xray XB808 2010 version running an OS Vspec VZ-B World Championship edition motor.
The 1/10th onroad car is an Xray 2010 T3, running a 10.5 turn Brushless and 50c 5000mah LiPo batteries.
Have raced the onroad car, but haven't raced the off road buggy yet. I have driven it at Hobby Habit (even after I said I wouldn't) and it's way too fast for the indoor track. Busted a servo when I ran into someone at full noise who had crashed in the middle of the straight...
There's a nitro offroad track at Morphett Vale I've raced at before, I'll be heading down there for a race meeting in a few weeks when I can get some spare time away from renovation, FD and family priorities :)

Wow... got all the wheel alignment tools etc, very serious.
Hmm... I can sense an SARotors RC meet coming up soon :)
Too bad I don't have any RC toys... :( otherwise would be up for the challenge.
For now, I stick with my old toy :S

heh when it comes to RC cars there isn't many types I haven't had :)

The only ones I haven't owned/raced are 4wd electric offroad, 1/10th electric pan car and 1/8th onroad nitro :) I've had 1/12th electric pan car (awesome cars, awesome grip), 1/10th nitro tourer (admittedly it was a junker RTR car), 2wd electric offroad good fun, helps throttle control), 4wd electric onroad, 1/8th nitro offroad and the list goes on :)
you may of just dobbed yourself in there James.....i cant seen to get my car running, broke the pull start so borrowed a mates electric starter but still no luck. Has fresh fuel, priming properly and ive check the glow plugs which seems to 'glow' fine. Motor is def turning over fast enough to fire just doesnt sound like its ever going to????

Does the motor have compression? How 'fresh' is the fresh fuel? Is the motor flooded? Have you tried a brand new glow plug? Is the throttle cracked open? Does the motor have any airleaks?

motors sounds like it still got gd comp, can hear it pulsing while turning over. Fuel was bought a couple of days ago. Motor is no flooded. Put a brand new plug in it OS#8, made no difference. Throttle open/closed makes no difference. No air leaks to my knowledge

If the motor is hard to turn over by hand with the flywheel it's got enough compression, but if it's easy to turn over it doesn't have enough. Give that a shot and see how that goes.
Failing that you seem to have covered everything, if you take the car into Hobby Habit they will be able to take a bit better of a look at it for you.
i can turn the motor over by hand, wouldnt say its easy tho.
Yeah thats where i get my stuff from so might just take the car down there when i have time

I saw this electric bad boy at a hobby store today.
They make them in Nitro also, but I don't think the nitro engine is in the bonnet.
I think the guy said they were 4wd.

It needs to lose the gay "muscle car" sticker on the side.
And it would be interesting what would happen to the heatsink after you rolled the car a few times.
